Korean company in Michigan, Mask donation ceremony in Dearborn Police Department with mayor Jack O’Reilly, Chief of Police Ronald Haddad, Bill Bazzi, President of Ford Veterans Network Group, and Joseph Jeong, President of GBUAS, Inc., who donated 200 KF-94 masks, similar to N95 masks, and 1000 regular medical masks to Korean War veterans. President Jeong says that it is only a small amount of masks to help through this difficult time, and it will hopefully secure stronger health to the Korean War veterans. Mayor Jack O’Reilly came as a surprise, and thanked President Jeong, who said he was very honored and humbled by those who came in this difficult time. Mayor Jack O’Reilly holds Korean War Armistice Anniversary in Dearborn annually, except for this year, because his father is a Korean War veteran, and was the former Dearborn City mayor, who also held the Armistice Anniversary in the past. When his father passed away, he continued to honor his father and the Korean War veterans through the ceremony. The Chicago Korean Consulate General was always there, as well as Congressmen and Senators. President Bill Bazzi said that he was humbled and appreciated the donation by GBUAS, Inc. in this difficult time, and said that he will supply the war veterans with the donated masks. O’Reilly also thanked GBUAS, Inc., and that unfortunately because of the current pandemic, the Armistice ceremony could not be held this year, but will resume when a more secure time comes. Dearborn is home to many Korean War veterans, Bazzi said that three Korean war veterans had passed away this year, and said that hopefully the rest can be strong and be witnesses for the young generations they fought for freedom for. The mask donation ceremony was held on September 8th, at 9 AM. Reported by Sarah Shin.
